We have completed certification testing of Oracle version 10.2.0.4 patch 23/22 (*note1*) for Opera installations.  This certification applies to Opera versions 5.0.01.03 e-patch 3 (*note2*) and above.

This patch includes the July 2009 security patches issued by Oracle.  

Documentation will be uploaded to the MICROS member website’s technical documentation section on steps to apply the patch and location for the patch media.  Until the documentation is made available, anybody interested in testing this patch is recommended to contact –ft_dba@micros.com for further details.

This is only a certification of the latest Oracle security bundle.  This is not a mandatory patch.

*note1* - For Windows 32bit and x64, the certification includes 10.2.0.4 patch 23.  For Windows IA64, patch 23 was not released by Oracle, instead patch 22 was tested.

*note2* - Due to compiler behavior changes introduced in 10.2.0.4 by Oracle, Opera SCRs 157810, 157878, and 157801 were created.  The Opera version is required to be 5.0.1.03 e-patch 3 or higher before moving to this Oracle patch level.
