Columbia, MD November 27, 2000 MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced that it has acquired the hospitality division of Hospitality Solutions International Inc. (HSI) for an undisclosed amount of cash. MICROS has purchased all of the restaurant and hotel assets of HSI. HSI will continue to own and operate its Club Systems division, based in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. MICROS will operate HSI's hospitality division as a separate company, under the strong HSI brand name, with plans to jointly develop and support certain products.
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, HSI's hospitality division is a top developer of technology solutions for the hospitality industry. The hospitality division's products include the point-of-service and enterprise systems for restaurants, as well as hotel management software. More than 3,500 customers worldwide, including restaurants, hotels, and cruise ships, are currently using HSI software solutions.
