MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Simphony™ v2.3. Simphony v2.3 contains many new features that will be beneficial to Counter, Quick, and Table Service restaurant operators. Significant enhancements include added functionality for the Simphony Kitchen Display System (KDS). In addition to the KDS enhancements, Simphony v2.3 also includes support for both combo and fixed price meals, print classes, and increases the number of available condiment groups to 256.
Other enhancements to the Simphony v2.3 client include:
- auto block transfer - move all of the open checks owned by one employee to another
- beverage control - enforces the ordering of a beverage for each guest on a check
- currency conversion functions - convert the check total to any currency available in the location
- edit menu item - make menu item price and definition changes from the client
- menu item availability - configure limited quantities for items with countdown functionality
- single workstation sign on - prevents an employee from signing into more than workstation in a property at a time.
