MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of two new wireless bumpbars for kitchen display systems, the MWBB-10 (10 key) and MWBB-20 (20 key). The wireless capability allows the bumpbar to be positioned for optimal accessibility, without concern for cable routing, extension cables, and loss of functionality due to damaged or cut USB cables. The wireless bumpbar will provide greater than three months operation on a set of standard AAA alkaline batteries.

The new MICROS Wireless Bumpbars possess a rugged extruded aluminum housing and sealed endcaps, ensuring the highest levels of protection from spills and debris for years of trouble free operation in harsh kitchen environments. The MWBB-10 and MWBB-20 also use Duraswitch magnetic keys which provide exceptional tactile feedback and are rated to 30 million activations, far exceeding typical dome switch technology.

In addition to rugged construction, the new units feature:

• Keypress Indicator LED
• Flexible mounting orientations with included quick release mounting bracket
• Low Battery Indicator Light

The included mounting bracket holds the bumpbar securely and features a thumbscrew lock for quick service. The bumpbars also feature rubber feet to keep the units stationary on a counter. The MWBB-10 supports an optional belt clip for portable usage. Each bumpbar comes with a commonly used overlay on heavy paper stock. Users can also create their own overlays to fit their business needs.
