MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Restaurant Enterprise Solution (RES) Version 4.7 and Enterprise Management (EM) Version 4.7. The latest version of RES offers several new enhancements to MICROS’s proven point-of-sale system. EM v4.7 is a companion release to manage the feature enhancements offered by RES v4.7.

MICROS RES v4.7 introduces several new functions to boost POS operations including the ‘Refund Edit Closed Check’ option which allows restaurant staff to edit an already closed check. New with RES v4.7 is the employee totals key code, menu items are restricted from being declared as waste, ‘UWS enabled touch screen beep’ option is introduced, as well as the option to ‘display in touch screen detail’, the future order pick-up by check function, and the quote time calculator. Additionally, the limit of eight credit card authorizations per check has been removed and included is the option to print the dollar amount converted into Euros on guest checks and customer receipts on a Win32 System and the ability to print individual ‘to go’ order types in the kitchen. EM v4.7 has added functionality to support employee store assignments through the use of store groups and enhanced support for deployments in a multi-user configuration.
