MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Simphony v2.2. The functionality included in Simphony v2.2 is focused on building up the product’s multi-lingual functionality and the requirements in the international resort and hotel space.
Simphony is now capable of being configured entirely using non-Latin based characters as the primary language. Additionally, Simphony supports up to 4 different languages within a property, and an unlimited number of languages at the enterprise level for all configurable elements – e.g., menu items, discounts, service charges, etc. The Simphony v2 client was enhanced to support the use of Asian characters (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.) on the display, local check printer, remote printers, and pole display. The pages displayed by the client can be translated on the fly so that the operator can use the workstation in their native language while printing receipts in the property’s language.
Support for the MICROS PC Workstation 2015 has been added to the hardware list. This workstation uses the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, which is now generally supported for the Simphony v2 client. The OPERA Enhanced Interface has been validated with the Simphony v2 client. Support for the standard Table Management System interface and an increase in the number of interfaces available within a revenue center from 8 to 16 has been added. The Simphony Reports module was enhanced to use the mymicros.net v6.2.2 components.
