MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the MICROS e7, Version 3.0 with Maintenance Release 1. The latest version of the MICROS e7 point-of-sale (POS) system offers many new features including an Inventory Module designed to assist restaurant level management with the daily and weekly task of counting and controlling the cost of inventory and a Table Layout feature to assist servers with the starting and maintaining of guest orders through an intuitive graphical user interface.

MICROS e7 now offers a fully integrated inventory package that allows customers the ability to track their high dollar inventory items. Integrating inventory in MICROS e7 offers many benefits with real-time depletion, giving restaurant mangers quick access to stock on hand reporting and knowing they have enough product to service customers. The Inventory Module includes menu item fixed cost, configurable count sheets, and controls inventory receipts, transfers, and waste.

The Table Layout screen template is a new feature that also incorporates check access commands including Table Objects, Join Table, and Split Table. MICROS e7 Table Layout offers clients the ability to create a graphical representation of their restaurants floor plan. Through timed alerts, table objects change color based on pre-defined thresholds and indicate which tables may need immediate attention from the assigned server or management.
