MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of MICROS Restaurant Enterprise Solution (RES) Version 4.9 and RES Enterprise Management (EM) Version 4.9. The latest version of RES delivers a substantial number of enhancements to our fully integrated Table Management and Kitchen Display System applications, in direct response to our customers’ requests. RES EM v4.9 is a companion release to manage the feature enhancements offered by MICROS RES v4.9.

With the increased demand in the marketplace for a sophisticated solution for guest management, MICROS RES 4.9 offers improvements to Table Management Systems (TMS), which provides users with an intuitive, user-friendly graphical interface to manage difficult and challenging tasks. With this release, a seating section layout can be defined by using a list of sections in which tables have been assigned. Table selections can be easily applied by touching the selection in the list and then touching the table in POS Operations. Utilizing a definable color palette assigned to the table layout enhances the ease of visual association of sections covered by available servers. Several new features minimize server seating errors by eliminating the guess work for the Host or Hostess.  Our integrated Table Management automatically suggests which table to seat, reduces wait times and provides a positive guest experience. Through our fully integrated Kitchen Display System, course status and alerts are introduced to keep servers aware of, not only the status of the guest dining, but to alert if the guest is in danger of having an unsatisfactory experience. Alert status includes initial check access, icons for dining courses, alert history for table status and more! RES 4.9 also delivers enhancements to the Kitchen Display System for ultimate control which allows orders to be prioritized after being sent to the kitchen. Kitchen managers also have the ability to Bump or Highlight single items in an order to call attention to menu items for the kitchen staff.
