The latest version of MICROS e7 is an enhancement release, including new features and functions to complement the existing e7 POS Product.  New features include the Next $ Up to assist cashiers in quick transactions, Logo Printing to enhance the restaurant’s guest check, as well as support to include a new versioning control file, and remote support for workstation only installations.   The newest version of MICROS e7 offers the necessary software drivers to support RBS WorldPay Credit and Gift Cards.  Time Card Adjustment Detail Report is available to users who want to track time card adjustments.

The Next $ Up feature is a preset tender type used to quickly enter the amount tendered based on the next highest rounded dollar, especially used in fast transactions, to assist the cashier in expedited service to the customer.  For example, if the transaction total is $8.88, the cashier can press the Next $ Up key and it will automatically enter as the cash amount tendered $9.00, with a change due of $0.12.

Logo Printing is another feature to enhance the overall guest experience, by adding character to the guest check.  The logo print feature accesses graphics stored on the MICROS Workstation.

Odyssey Software can be enabled for remote support for sites without a PC.  Additional features include the RBS WorldPay Credit and Gift Card Support.  This reliable option provides credit and gift card services to a variety of existing MICROS customers and is now supported with MICROS e7 Version 2.8.

Finally, the additional reporting feature, The Time Card Adjustment Detail Report, prints the employee name and number, the adjustment records in chronological order, and the time card detail record.
