The latest version of Guest Connection is designed to enhance the OPERA PMS interface. This interface enables users to lookup and retrieve guest profile information from the OPERA PMS and link restaurant reservations to hotel reservations, providing ease for the customer with a single itinerary as well as many benefits to the hotel.
The enhancements to the OPERA interface include an interface, based on the latest Single Guest Itinerary (SGI) message specification provided by Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG). This is designed to link disparate reservation systems such as restaurant, spa, golf, and PMS reservations into one seamless schedule and allows for a consolidated view of guest activity bookings.
Another feature of Guest Connection 3.2 is the search and retrieval function of guest profiles. A guest search may be performed by guest name, number, e-mail, or phone number in order to provide more efficient and comprehensive searches.
New guest profiles created in Guest Connection can be uploaded to OPERA using the Guest Uploading form allowing for easier transfer of guest information. Additionally, updates to existing shared guest profiles are synchronized between OPERA and Guest Connection. Enhancements have been made to the reservation bookings in the newest version of Guest Connection to allow OPERA and OPERA Resort Dashboard to populate a single guest itinerary.
