MICROS announces the General Release of 9700 HMS Version 3.2

MICROS Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the General Release of the 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) Version 3.2.

9700 HMS 3.2 is the latest release of MICROS’ Point of Sale (POS) solution for the Leisure and Entertainment marketplace. This version of 9700 HMS expands the extensive feature set with the addition of the enhanced Stand Alone Resilient (SAR) client. The new SAR client offers user defined graphical themes, templates, touch screens, manager procedures, enhanced reports, and enhanced security. These changes will allow users to place SAR clients in areas where only Winstation could operate previously.

The latest version of NetVupoint is included with 9700 HMS 3.2. This version of NetVupoint supports Internet Explorer 7 and does not require the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. Additionally, the NetVupoint installation is now included on the same DVD as the 9700 HMS installation and does not require any extra media.

In addition to Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Oracle 10g is now supported with 9700 HMS 3.2. Customers that are using Oracle 9i with their existing 3.0 and 3.1 systems will be able to continue using Oracle 9i on 3.2. Both of these installations are offered on single DVDs.

Support for keyless licensing has been added. License codes may be obtained from the MICROS website which will make it possible to eliminate the USB or parallel keys used in the past.
