Procurement and Logistics Department

MICROS distributes its products to customers around the world. The mission of Procurement and Logistics is to provide innovative and responsive service while delivering products in a timely, cost-effective and efficient manner. This is achieved through our partnerships with key suppliers to secure the lowest total cost of acquisition and within MICROS, through continuous process improvement, inventory control, efficiency, and employee satisfaction. From forecasting and planning to moving goods through the warehouse and across the globe, the Procurement and Logistics Team takes care of everything outside the box-so other MICROS teams can focus on what's inside.

The Procurement and Logistics team consists of the Purchasing and Planning Department at MICROS's world headquarters in Columbia, MD and its Distribution Center in Hanover, MD, where all North American and most International customer orders are processed.

Primary Purchasing and Planning disciplines include:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Demand Forecasting

  • Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing
  • Hardware and Software Pre-configuration
